In cooperation with Riga Bureau of Tourism Development an interactive mobile telephone application for tourists and guests of Riga has been developed. “RIGA TOURIST GUIDE” contains essential knowledge that might be required when visiting Riga as well as the most up-to-date information for tourists.
The application allows quickly accessing the information about Riga, places of interest and events and also the ability to rapidly contact the tourist support bodies (emergency service, tourist police, tourist information centers and others).
The application enables you to:
- Get the essential information about the capital of Latvia, the national currency.
- Locate and obtain contact information of the embassies and consulates.
- Call the emergency services.
- Find out more about the places of interest in Riga (each object has a picture and its location is shown on the map).
- Order guided tours (after becoming familiarized with the offered routes).
- Find cultural, leisure and entertainment centers (museums, theatres, movie theatres, places of amusement).
- Look at the most relevant event programs and their description.
